Memorial/Funeral Services

St. Ann's ChapelSt. Ann’s Academy offers several options for those wishing to hold a funeral, memorial or celebration of life. The chapel is a traditional venue with Christian decorations while the auditorium, which also has stained glass windows, does not feature religious symbolism. Both venues are operated as interfaith venues. Ceremonies may be developed with or without the assistance of a funeral director or religious person. Should you wish to contact a funeral director, see below for a listing to assist you with you plans. Adjacent to the chapel is an Edwardian style parlour room, appropriate for smaller receptions. St. Ann’s Academy also has a program to receive memorial gifts or bequests. Please contact the office for more details.

St. Ann’s Academy Interpretive Centre includes the chapel, a parlour, a smaller room and the Novitiate Garden. The St. Ann’s Academy Chapel was deconsecrated in 1974 and reopened in 1997, blessed by the interfaith community of Victoria.

St. Ann's Auditorium

St. Ann’s Academy Auditorium has stained glass windows without religious symbols and accommodates slightly larger events.

Organizing the Service

You may choose to organize and lead the service yourself. If you wish to consult with a spiritual person regarding your event, please see our List of Officiants. If you wish to consult with a local funeral director, you may wish to contact one of the companies on the listing of "Funeral Homes and Directors" (see below).
