Auditorium Technical Specifications

FRONT OF HOUSE
Lobby: A 15’ x 15’ white tent in the courtyard adjacent to south entrance is used for Front of House services. Tables and Chairs from the auditorium can be used in this area.

Space in the house behind the seats left (4’3’ x 5’6”) and right (4’3’ x 5’6”) can be set up with a table to function as a small box office, concession or retail area.

House Seating: 200 plus up to 6 wheelchairs

BACK OF HOUSE
There are no formal back of house facilities at St. Ann’s Academy.

Stage Access: There are no direct access areas off the stage. Stage access is by a central staircase from the house. There are 8 wooden and carpet covered stairs rising 2’10” high.

Dressing Room: Access to public washrooms is directly from the house downstairs or a single accessible washroom located off the house, near the west entrance.

Green Room: None – some productions use a portion of the stage, others use the stairwell to the lower washrooms, or an area outside adjacent to the east stairwell.

Loading Access:
The Stage is accessed through the house. Load access for the stage is best via the west entrance doors. While these are double doors, the opening is impeded by emergency exit hardware and door closers. Opening is 6’9” tall x 3’10” wide. There is an exterior ramp but no dock at these exterior doors. To access the stage from the house, most items are lifted to stage level 2’10” via the eight central steps. An alternative route for wheelchair access, is narrow, circuitous and available only through prior arrangement. Some extra fees may apply. See staff for further details.
