Academy Green Rentals

Academy Green is a large, open grassy area located in front of the Academy building and to the west of the main driveway. It is an appropriate area for large tented events (see Notes for Tented Events). The area measures approximately 65’ by 130’ (20 x 40 metres). A single tent of 60’ x 120’ can accommodate 350 people for a dinner and dance reception while 450 people could luncheon in the same space. This space may be augmented with the use of the Orchard, a more rustic location without services.

Limited electrical service is located adjacent to the driveway and a single potable water tap is located nearby on the north side of the building. Washrooms are available inside the Interpretive Centre on the 2nd Floor of St. Ann’s Academy. Rented portable toilets can be accommodated adjacent to the east and west parking lots.

The Academy Green is part of a scenic and historic 6-acre green space enjoyed by many visitors to St. Ann’s Academy. We are directly linked by pathway to Beacon Hill Park. Please note that public access to the grounds cannot be restricted for a function in the Academy Green or other areas. In recognition of our residential surroundings, access is limited to between 7 am and 10 pm, therefore events must end no later than 9 pm so that clean-up can be completed by 10 pm. Equipment can be removed the following day between 7 am and 10 am (see Notes for Tented Events for further details).

NON-PROFIT RATE
A 25% discount to rental costs Sunday to Thursday is available for registered non-profit societies. A society registration number must be provided for these rentals.

Statutory Holidays - Please add $180.00 surcharge to all rental costs

GENERAL NOTES
A St. Ann’s Academy staff member is required to be in attendance for all rental events.
All signage and publicity is the responsibility of the renter. On site signage opportunities are limited. Publicity for events must clearly indicate the contact telephone or location for tickets and information.
